I think your trolley left the track a long time ago. Conservatives do not oppose buses. We just know that they should pay for themselves. If they are profitable, there is no reason to oppose them. They take up far less space than the equivalent in cars. The "boorish" behavior to which you refer below is the simple fact that the White House knew what was going on and refused to help, period. It was a cold-hearted refusal to save an ambassador, who had asked for and was refused protection, and his attempted rescuer who was slaughtered. Things did not unfold quickly. They were under attack for at least seven hours.
