How Liberals Argue: Food Stamps Stimulate the Economy

That argument is stupid because to pay for the food stamps, you have to tax a worker or musiness owner. Whoever pays that tax will have less to spend. Robbing Peter to pay Paul is typical stupid govt "thinking". How about dropping tax rates on workers ad businesses etc so they will have more more money to spend? This in turn will result in real jobs and ultimately HIGHER tax receipts. What a novel idea!!! Not really-Reagan, Kennedy and Bush tried it and it worked.

Those who rob Peter to pay Paul will eventually run out of Peter's money.

It's amazing to me that conservatives call the argument stupid without even bothering to get it right...

Of course that man is easy to knock down, he's made of straw!

Every Thursday morning I go on the Jon Justice show in Southern Arizona. Today, I made a comment about the glorification of food stamps and apparently that sparked a deluge of calls like the one below in which the caller argues welfare stimulates the economy.

Considering Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi thinks the same way, I'm not surprised.

"It's the biggest bang for the buck."
