"The important thing is that his message is the truth and you can not dispute it with facts to the contrary." Cheslea

We can't keep thinking like this. This is called being close minded. For one thing: Beck didn't fully disclose the new Arizona law, and secondly, skipped over the Nazi parallel like it was some joke. The problem, that even most conservatives have with the Arizona law is that it gives police the right, practically, to racially discriminate. That's a problem. Also it gives State and County Police Forces the right to enforce against illegal immigrants which they are not trained to do, that is why they had to write a STATE law that said that it is illegal for illegal immigrants to be in the State of Arizona....
That's truly hilarious.
I watched the Beck thing and it changed subjects about three times, wasn't much of prose, he never really tied it together. I thought that was poorly done, and I really wanted to discuss some of the issues he brought up but it looks like all you are too busy complaining about how liberals are close-minded. Don't you realize how close minded you are in just saying that? "being liberal is a mental disorder" "it what they do" these are assumptions and prejudices that are pretty close minded in and of themselves.
I don't think you understand at all how industrial food production works.
1)You'd be hard pressed to find a factory farm that has union labor, especially in the south, but even in the north, with the small exception of weak field-worker unions which pay next to nothing. If you had good union labor in these factory farms you might actually decrease the amount of illegal immigrants in the country and better provide healthy foods to consumers. (not that i advocate big farms, i am a small scale farmer myself)Also, It was the nixon administration that promoted factory farming and crippled the "mom and pop" farming. This was done to decrease the price of corn and eventually soybeans and alfalfa.
2) The way they decreased the price was...

I think you misunderstood. I do NOT sympathize with the age old society that was Sparta. If you believe it contained early elements of Fascism or Socialism I think that there is a valid argument in that, however, please do not label me anything for I have in no way expressed these views. I simply resist using terms such as: socialist, communist, and fascist to describe the democratic party or President Obama because it is invalid. These words have just become buzz words in the American lexicon and that is a bit disturbing because these words mean so much more. Socialism advocates something President Obama disagrees with and opposes legislation of. The one of the most prominent features of Socialism is the value of products. Capitalism,...

Fascism is a political ideology that is considered to be at the far right of the left-right political spectrum.* It is the idea that an entire society can unify it's identity under a strong leadership and therefore opposes individuality such as race and culture. Furthermore, fascists believe highly in violence and war in order to boost the vitality of a country and hell keep morality and nationalism high.**
Not only does this fail to describe anything about President Obama's policies or ideologies, but it much better represents Former President George Bush's economic, societal, and foreign policies.

What? Don't just say things. Pontification and rhetoric, that's all I see. Are you so unwise that you have to reduce the democratic party to a party of Race influenced politics?

The point you all seem to be missing is that there are serious problems in our society that burden lower classes more than the higher classes. Welfare, unemployment, human services, and other services for the poor aren't Race issues. These are class issues.

You all want to turn away and call out those who want to better the whole of society "socialists" and try, desperately and nearly illegibly, to make some ridiculous claim that the democrats are promoting "a kinder gentler National Socialism"? I suggest you do a little research.

Mr Buchanan:

You are absolutely right in saying the Nations of Europe spent less on their military during the cold war, partially because they could, it wasn't their war in the first place. Turning to their citizens and giving them the benefits of job and health security doesn't seem a bad thing. Oh wait, of course it doesn't, because it's not. Say something straight and non-contradictory for once, you want the government to mandate and enforce abortion laws but you don't want them meddling with your minimum wage, right? Spend money on the people! What's the difference? Every country owes another country who owes another who owes another. It's all made up. It's all a fabricated system. The true value of products is long gone....
