All this talk about issues is a waste of time until we can assure a fair election. There should be a grass roots demand for a national picture ID and with no ID at the polls, no vote. Also mail-in voting needs to stop, its way too easy to cheat. Every state must use the power of the computer to assure that only one vote per person can be accepted. I think we are very stupid not to do this. As a simple but effective test of the current situation, we should simply make a county by county non-binding adit of the vote in one state, say Ohio. This may open a few eyes.

The electronic voting machines must be open to public inspection and verification. Who knows what the software inside is actually doing when both the machines and their software are proprietary and closed to examination?

What should the Republican Party do now?

That’s the post-election question. Yet, not being a Republican, I figure I can only answer this question: What should the Republican Party not do?

Before the election, I would have answered, “Talk about ‘legitimate rape.’” Even now I suggest a short course for GOP candidates about rape, with perhaps a refresher on basic biology.

I’m serious. And I’m pro-life.

Now, after the election, an object lesson in what not to do rears its ugly head in the last place one...
