A Book for Republicans

It shows how stupid the government is by saying raising taxes on the rich will bring in more revenue...when history shows it not to be the case...Like Sowell points out; it's a vote getter...The problem is even if the government got more revenue it would just waste it. When are the lower 50% of income earners going to start paying any income tax?

isolationism is a form of denial and appeasement and is suicidal. You can't have peace through strength if you are weak, project weakness, and allow enemies to do whatever they want with the knowledge that there is no Consequences or accountability.
The above article gives the false impression that the same people who were in the bottom 20% economic scale in 1979 were the same people who were in the bottom 20% economic scale 28 years Later. That is simply not the cast. The quintile economic groups are dynamic, not static. Usually after A 10 year period, most of the people who started out in the bottom 20% were not still there, with many of them reaching the top 20%. The same goes for those in the top 20%, as some go lower in The other quintile groups.
The protestors don't have a clue that they are protesting for oppression, no property rights and poverty, because that is what communism would give them. The State is above the individual and the law. The State is the law...

Obama thinks he can say anything, make promises without keeping them, and not be accountable.
Well Scott Brown's recent senatorial victory
should be a wakeup call.
The tragedy of it all is; because of his world-view; that he knows how to run our lives better than we do, and uses the expansion of govt to
mandate rules and regulations to accomplish his ends, he won't see it as one(wake-up call that is). You think today's election results were
devastating for the Democrats, just wait and
see what happens in November.
Obama should cut his losses and govern from the
center, but he can't help himself. He doesn't
learn from history, and thereby will repeat the
mistakes of the past.

Because of Obama's hubris, he will continue
to govern from the extreme left. If he studied
history, and saw how politicians changed course
in order to gain favor with the electorate, he
might stand a chance. Moving to the political
center would go against his far left world-view, so he won't do it.
Today's devastating defeat is just a prelude of
things to come, come November."Pride cometh before a fall and a haughty spirit before destruction."
And you can take that to the bank.

Obama's Speech Tonight

Obama's world-view blinds him to the fact that the private sector would be the only way to go.
As far as he's concerned it doesn't matter how
many times govt programs have failed in the past. As Thomas Sowell would put it: what's the
track record of govt interference in the economy? Because his world-view views the govt
as the answer to all our problems, no matter how many times it has failed, and power grabbed is power maintained is the motive, get ready for
some more rhetoric and sleight of hand expressions. Let's see how many times he uses
words like competition, innovation, stability,
and security...all part of the deception.

Listening to a Liar

Barack Obama's actions up to now have been directly the opposite of what he's been saying.
So, when you listen to him tomorrow night
remember his track record. Because he's lied
before, you can pretty much rest assured that
he'll be lying again. The amazing thing is,
when he lies, he does it with a straight face...
That would make him a pathological lier.

Random Thoughts

Whenever Thomas Sowell does a Random Thoughts
column he takes Satire to a new level. Just
think how devastating and humorous is his
target for foolishness...just shows how futile
and amusing the musings of the left are.
The implied thought of 'random thoughts' is that
his observations are of a passing scene. Just
think if that passing scene was frozen in time,
how much more damage his total focus, like a
magnifying glass concentrating the rays of the
sun, would do.
