Jackie writes "According to a Gallup poll released Tuesday, "56 percent of Americans think Barack Obama will win the 2012 presidential election, compared with 36 percent who think Mitt Romney will win." Could it be that most of that 56% are government employees that want to keep their jobs as well as those receiving "freebees" and do not want to lose them?

I don't know. The prez has been working around the congress when they do not do what he wants. Yet, all congress does is complain about it instead of taking action like cutting out funding when they can do it.

I agree with your 1913 assessment however, I'm not sure that the repubs would change much regarding the amendments and the fed. I do believe that the repubs will tone done (hopefully eliminate) the socialists, marxists and commies. We can only hope.
Wayne, the elderly do not get Medicare for free. Like you they paid the tax until they were 65 years old and "forced" to go on medicare. Then they pay monthly for their Medicare coverage and have to pay more for a supplemental plan to help pay the difference of the paltry Medicare coverage.

Let's just say that the politicians and the unions partnered up. The unions get what they want and contribute greatly to the politicians to say thanks. As long as the politicians negotiate with taxpayer monies the unions will always win the bargening.
Where did threestone dig up that 98+% number? Any facts to prove that almost all scientists believe that humans are changing the environment?
Also, the 98+% he lists is made up of course, without facts to back it up. Typical progressive!

Wayne I agree with you but please take a breath, do you think that the repubs will not coalesce around the nominee and forgo voting and allow obama another term? I also believe that there are some that I wish would not vote at all because they just do not do their homework and understand what is happening to our country and would probably vote for obama. Also, I wish the repubs would finally learn how to fight (and win) a battle.
The progressive feminists will still support them believing they will skate.
