You don't suppose this sort of thing might be why the city has been better known as "Bezerkly" for years?

We should also repeal laws in the various states that permit 16 year old students to bail from school without parental consent!

Boasting About Marines

Happy Birthday, Marines! There is no finer bunch of folks to watch your back while you're working! An ex-Seabee.
As an Idaho voter I had viewed this particular race with somewhat mixed views. Mr Minnick has done a good job representing Idaho, I have friends who know and like him personally. If Mr. Minnick had chosen to run purely on his record and/or the issues important to the people of Idaho, he would have made my decision much more difficult but the fact remains that an incumbent Democrat, any incumbent Democrat, represents support for the Obama/Pelosi agenda. That, taken with Mr. Minnick's choice to heavily rely on 'attack ads' leads me to believe that his opponent, Mr. Labrador, while not perfect, is far closer to being "Right for Idaho" than is Mr. Minnick.

Elder Abuse: America's Dirty Secret

It isn't just nursing homes, I work with developmentally disabled, many of home reside with "home care providers". It is appalling how some of these"providers" treat their participants, making totally arbitrary and capricious decisions about how these DD people are allowed to live. In one case, out of the blue, an elderly man, 63, was told that after smoking all his life, it was no longer allowed, other changes can be to their diet or clothes. A 44 year old man with a Traumatic Brain Injury was suddenly required to wear adult diapers for no good reason except it made 'managing' him easier. My employers, a private company, bend over backwards to accommodate the providers, following their instructions to the 'tee' without regard for the...
" “We cannot for a second abandon propaganda. Propaganda is vital — propaganda is the heart of all struggles,” - Fidel Castro in a letter to a revolutionary colleague in 1954. And he’s still at it. And foreign reporters are still eating out of his hand like trained pigeons." No kidding, the MSM has always found grounds to love Fidel & Co.
This is funny, the supposed leader of the Muslim world circa 1940 to 1945 actually liked Hitler,

Why Are We Beginning to Hate Congress?

Ron 3535 Wrote: Jul 29, 2010 7:52 AM
"When questioned, our representatives -- reminiscent of the old French court at Versailles -- act like they live in a rarified, untouchable universe." If this the case, it is a universe of their own creation, there is nothing in the Constitution that even suggests this should be the case and we have allowed it to happen.. It is high time we rid ourselves of the 'permanent ruling class' that is so well entrenched in Congress and many of the State Legislatures around the country. We seriously need to turn out all incumbents of either party and get term limits enacted if we are to have "change we can believe in".
Personally I am of the opinion that the time has come to eliminate our "permanent ruling class" by voting out all incumbents of either party and electing fresh faces, which would exclude both Newt and Hillary. There is not a nickel's worth of difference between the established parties and at the top, both are rotten to the core.
Getting rid of the General Schedule is not a good idea, take a look at the "Personnel Demonstration Project" the Department of the Navy has been using at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, among other bases, with an eye towards getting rid of the General Schedule. In 1992, I had a representative from the China Lake Personnel Department tell me the biggest reason for the continuation of the 'demo project' was because it had generated far too many GS-13 equivalent management employees to allow it to end. In theory, the 'demo project' was supposed to, among other things, make it easier to remove non-productive employees, in practice however, managers are able to manipulate it to reward themselves and their proteges.
