Not so hard to understand. People, even Republicans, just don't like or trust Romney. It's a shame that the Republicans couldn't find a decent candidate.

As for discontent with our candidate, the fact is that this says more about the current Conservative movement than any one choice. None of the candidates would have been strongly supported across the board by such a divided base.

BINGO! You said what I hear all the time, Ron. I rarely listen to Rush as I have things to do. However, two days ago I heard a lady tell him that she and her sister just don't trust Romney and see no difference in the two candidates. Rush said Romney is the only way to get rid of Obama. Her response was why as Romney is no different. The problem seems to be that bashing Obama doesn't have the strength that saying positives would have for Romney. He should have walked away from RomneyCare a long time ago, for one.
