Have to admit I don't read a lot of your stuff. Read both FairTax books and one great piece from TownHall about a business owners luncheon with his employees. This piece on Obama's speech? Where the hell did that come from? I thought the reaction about Obama's presentation was overkill, then you took it to another planet! I saw the gripe about Obama's exercise about the letter writing and the age groups it applied to. I thought it was over the top and a little self-directed in it's content. I disagree that the Dems will get any mileage from it. Guess you didn't see how distorted the MSM handled it. On a scale from 1-5 the fall-out will be about as high as your rating on this article.
I read the column twice to make sure I wasn’t being misled by my own prejudice in my respect and love for seniors. I wasn’t wrong, this opinion column was sour grapes. Opinions are like anuses, everybody has one!

Deflation is when you put your feet up and watch your money grow in value? Actually the last time deflation (currently –0.56%) was an issue it happened the year Mr. Chapman was born. I’m sure he remembers his grandparents with their feet up watching their SS money growing out of control (1954 –0.74%). In 1980 inflation was 13.58% no one came to me to reduce the amount of FICA being withheld from my paycheck to ease the pain. I didn’t whine about those evil seniors being rewarded a COLA increase at my expense, and I...
Thank you Michelle for digging in to expose another of the vile wretch that fills the conduits from state to federal government. I don't understand why many Americans believe they have to settle for the lessor of two evils. We need to quit electing politicians and statesmen in this country. They ALL serve themselves and special interests, and it is destroying our country to almost irreversible proportions. We need to beging electing patriots. Are there any out there?

How terribly incendiary you devil you!
To the discerning mind Obama's agenda was as plain as the "in the air" nose on his face! Nobody listened. For months before the election there were countless factual links and stories about his socialist past, my own included in blogs and Twitter. Nobody listened. His past associations, ethics, political motives, racial motives, and his unequivocal thirst for power could not have been clearer. Very few paid attention.

The only redemption for those independents, conservative democrats, and republicans thirsting for change that voted for Obama is a sorrowful admission of ignorance. In all fairness to those that now suffer from buyers remorse fall into the category of naive Americans that almost refuse to believe that corruption and...

A Joke Too Far

In spite of who is responsible for such tasteless humor, Christianity, Conservatism, the right, and anyone who opposes Barack will take the heat for it. I appreciate the way you covered the hateful approach used to apply criticism to our president.

That being said, I neither respect the president or the office. When a person enters that office, they take an oath before God and country that has been dishonored. When an elected President begins to fill the shoes of the office and the task for which they are appointed my respect will commence.

An Open Letter to President Obama

Well done, and I wholeheartedly support your views. I unfortunately took the time to read all the responses, and was disappointed in some of the thoughtless answers. I commend you for bringing this issue up in an open letter to the president.

It seems that every conservative or traditional thought process has to be diminished by throwing it into the left/right, GOP/DEM, race, religious, and equal rights arguments. The same holds true of the institution of marriage by straining it through the courts until it has become nothing more than a temporary agreement. It seems that courts and spineless leaders choose to ignore any traditional or historical value to marriage and the family unit. Homosexuality has no place in the...

Dump the Audience?

You have a great delivery and your sincerity about the issues you cover should not be compromised. Your strong suit is investigative reporting and erasing public ignorance and you should stick to a format that amplifies that quality. In my personal opinion, it is not by having audience participation that has a tendency to divert from your impact.

Not trying to be age biased, but the last opinion I care to hear on the healthcare issue is that of a 22-year-old that may or may not be still living at home with parents that considers it to be a right and entitlement. Even a fool can take sides on an issue with little or no truth/facts to substantiate their beliefs.

It's great that you speak to college students. They can...
Wow, take a pill Will!

It was a fair report, but I really get tired of crowd estimates and labels. Were there really only thousands, or were there 10's of thousands, and were they all conservatives?

It would be nice to hear, an astounding number of disgruntled Americans showed up on the capitol steps today on remarkably short notice to voice their rejection of a 2,000+ page legislative boat anchor.

Labeling conservatives puts the assembly in a box. Now tomorrow Pelosi will scream that she feared for her life, and had a flash-back to the time, in beads and a bandana, when she held dying Harvey Milk in her arms on the streets of San Francisco. Robert Gibbs will give a glancing blow report about how a handful of...
