Repulicans are going to cave to O. Then the base will be mad at them and won't come out for 2014 causing the R's to lose more seats in congress. Or maybe the base will insist on a more rightwing candidate to run against the dem candidate another losing strategy.

The republicans are alreasdy permanently branded as protectors of the rich. This is going to be their problem in 2014.

It's true. I used to vote republican all the time. My area where i live is controlled by the dems. I made it a point to vote republican across the board. I voted for Dole, Ross Perot and GHWB (against dukakis). GWB changed all that. Now I am straight Dem. I might vote for an independent if this person were the right one but never again for a republican. They have proven themselves untrustworthy.

We are all exhausted by the republican antics but they are a party losing power and influence. Lets make sure we keep it that way.

Half of republican voters are uneducated and predjudice as this article points out. The party is also divided and falling apart. There are many independent voters who will never vote republican again like myself. Not really a great electoral future. Just waiting until 2014 so can get rid of more republicans.
