Equality Versus Liberty

BTW: Bill Gates took it from me and a lot of other people. I understand the theory being presented, but this article suffers when it comes to facts. Gates was a pirate and is still a major threat to the free world. The monopoly (and thuggery) cases against Microsoft, in which Microsoft has been found guilty, are only the tip of the iceberg. The collapse of the so-called dot-com bubble was triggered by one such guilty judgment against Microsoft. A huge economy boom that should have lasted for 50-75 years collapsed in a decade and we're still suffering from that collapse - without having all the small businesses growing into big businesses and all the blessings that bestows. That's because Microsoft held the market in check and led quickly to a destructive situation in which only a few big players can participate. Should we go on to Gate's fiddling in politics and education throughout the world? Common core? etc. etc. etc. I get the theory ... but theory isn't everything.

I still haven't seen the evidence that the "pope is upset that capitalism causes inequality" or any of the other misquotes implying that the pope is anti-capitalist. The official statement doesn't use the word capitalism at all, while early reports put the pope right in step with Adam Smith, in opposition to "unbridled capitalism." The related moral discussion is just that; well worth considering ... not some simple or foolish political jab. You have to be careful; sometimes the misquoters and other deviants catch you on on ... just repeat it enough and people think it's true. Always check!

We Should Reform Child Support

The defined purpose, the basis of their mathematics, is to push the custodial parent household up to the same level that it would have been if the couple remained together. States adjusted it at the low end after many orders for low income fathers proved to be higher than their actual total income. But the impossible formulae were not adjusted at higher levels, leaving many fathers destitute while mothers vacation in splendor with their new husbands. To make matters worse, some of the children being supported (so to speak) are actually the biological children of the new guy

Top Scientists Confirm: Humans Suck

I think there was an old humorous song that referred to the "human race." But I'm pretty sure we're actually a species.
And yet, the pages of Townhall have still not taken up the fathers' rights issue; after all these years. Parental rights no longer exist, since marriage and family law was federalized in 1990. Fathers, who also happen to be parents, kept explaining the disappearance of fundamental rights. But since Republicans (like Newt Gingrich) were for it, along with Democrats, most commentators fell silent. The problem is still out there and it's the root cause of the downfall of the institution of marriage and government takeover of family and all things personal. It is a key component in the downfall of Constitutional rule.
What a joke. "Welfare reform" of the 1980s and 1990s was the biggest scam in US history right up until global warming. The "requirements" effected only that vast number of people who are temporarily on welfare, long-term recipients received waivers, it expanded the welfare system to include everyone within its rules finally transforming the US into a full fledged dictatorial welfare state, and moved marriage and family law from the private to the public domain where the institution of marriage was quickly and unceremoniously destroyed. Now let's all act as kooky as Newt Gingrich and pretend it was a conservative thing.
Still no comments from the "experts" on just how marriage met its legal demise? It wasn't "activist judges." More accurately, inactivist judges share the blame for not declaring the federal takeover of marriage in the 1980s / 1990s unconstitutional. Surely you remember the "deadbeat dad" scam, Reagan's drive for "government enforcement of personal responsibility" and Bill Clinton's promise to "end welfare as we know it". The end result of all that "welfare reform" was enough arbitrary federal intrusion into marriage and family law to legally abolish marriage as we knew it and create a new thing in the public rather than private domain. Add the enormous welfare expansion that came with it, and you've got the new total "welfare state" too.
