You seem to be comparing well financed corporate accomplishment from varying times past with “bootstrap” entrepreneurs (garage mechanics) that were the intended subject of my post. Are you saying that OSHA, EPA, Labor Unions, IRS, Wage and Hour, and other imposed problems are also problems in China? To compete with products made in China you must have sufficient volume to have your product made in China and containerize the shipping – otherwise you cannot compete with lower priced Chinese goods. Where are iPhones manufactured? There are millions of good products designed and ready for limited production in this country – I have 23 of them – but it is impossible to produce and market...

5 to 4. 4 SC Justices voted against the constitution. In order to be a law abiding citizen, one would have to be able to know the laws -- or how could he or she follow them. With all the 5 to 4 ruling it is obvious that even 4 SC Justices can not understand the laws, so how can the rest of us?

John, I'm afraid I have to almost disagree with you, even though I almost agree with you. Because of restrictions placed on domestic inventers and producers by our own government, what was true of the US entrepreneurs is no longer true. It is almost impossible to "bootstrap" a product that is not overwhelming successful out of the chute. Henry Ford didn't face the same problems.
