The electoral system of the Unites States is the stupidest, most expensive bore imaginable, and of course the candidates who know how to play it will do so. This isn't politics, it's just a very expensive version of American Idol, and is not designed to select a competent president, more likely one who just knows how to smile for the camera and come up with a smart retort, especially when he has most of the media covering for him. Serious policy? What does that matter when compared to "the war on women" as embodied by saving (or not) Sandra Fluke $10 a month for her contraception?

On Friday, Hugh Hewitt asked CNN anchor Candy Crowley about her infamous fact-check heard 'round the world during the "town hall style" presidential debate at Hofstra University.  Her general self-assessment?  The journalistic equivalent of a solid B-plus:
