The old way. Barry, our dear leader uses terms like “fair share” when he demands more from the 2% that already pay 40% of the income tax. Now that is a bit above their 2%, but someone has to make up for the 49% that pays nothing. Those would be the Barry voters, they like their freebies! No plans to put them in the game, with a little of their income, that wouldn’t be “fair”.

Not all of the 49%. 49% don't pay income tax. That was Mitt's point, arguing that running on lower taxes was not a selling point to 49% of the American public. That 49% includes conservative retirees including retired veterans, many conservative disabled, young people, etc.

We are still borrowing more than $1 trillion a year. Barack Obama has added more than $5 trillion to the national debt in just his first term alone. Such massive borrowing is unsustainable. Someone somehow at some time has to pay it back.

Obama would agree. He once alleged that George W. Bush's much smaller deficits were "irresponsible" and "unpatriotic." Obama himself vowed to cut the budget deficit in half by the end his first term. Instead, Obama's annual deficits have never gone below $1 trillion.
