The 2nd amendment was placed in our Constitution by the founders, not to provide the citizens with the right to hunt, it was put in to provide the citizens a last chance to save the Nation from tyranny. Remember the founders were fresh from being under the thumb of the English King. They understood first hand, the value of an armed citizenry. Nothing scares a corrupt politician (our current Congress and administration) then an armed citizen that can not be placated with someone else’s money. So they must convince the citizens that the 2nd is not really needed. Who better then our messiah for that job?

By now, we’ve heard the argument about semi-automatic "assault" rifles: nobody needs one. We’ve heard the only reason why someone would obtain this kind of weapon is so they can kill people, which is far from the truth. We’ve also heard the argument from both the Left and the Right that a pistol is how someone protects their home.
