I’m 74 years old, I have never spent a night in a hospital, or had any major health issues other then self inflected wounds, like broken bones as a young person. I don’t get sick. At age 65 I was forced on Medicare, that meant forced bi-yearly doctor visits, blood tests and pills, but I pay more for my insurance then my actual cost for my forced govt care today. How stupid is it to pay 10 times or more for an insurance plan then the actual health care costs? If not for govt intervention into our health care, people would still be paying their own care costs and it’s never cheaper to pay some one to pay your bills, then you paying them yourself.

If insurance plans didn’t have to worry about their costs Vs premiums, and didn’t have our govt protecting their business by suppressing competition, allowing health providers to continue to raise prices to cover their mandated costs, maybe like in the days before health insurance, citizens payed their own bills, or worked them out with the provider.
There will always be dead beats, that can’t take of them self (hello Sandra Fluke), but mandated free care, is what your paying for with our health insurance premiums, not your own care.

Under Obamacare, Americans will be required to buy health insurance or pay a penalty to the IRS.

The IRS's assumption that the cheapest plan for a family will cost $20,000 per year is found in examples the IRS gives to help people understand how to calculate...
