Really? Where are the hit pieces on Newt from the liberal media? Have you wondered about that? Don't you find it curious that they're not lambasting him? Good reason for that: Newt would be by far the weakest candidate in the general election and they're chomping at the bit to get him nominated. Newt is a nutcase and completely unelectable. The reason so many conservatives are railing against him is that 1.) he is no conservative and 2.) he has no chance at all of being elected.

I agree as well. Good article. Like the article says, Gingrich is impulsive (and nutty). He's a loose cannon with tons of baggage and that will make him grist for the late-night comedy mill if he's the nominee. He'll become a national laughingstock in short order; no doubt. It's obvious to me that the media is biding its time, hoping he'll get nominated and when/if that happens, they'll be firing from all cannons. And they won't even have to dig anything up from his archives. He'll be spitting out absurdities like a Pez dispenser on a daily basis. The guy is so unsteady that it'll be too much of a risk for most voters to pull the lever for him on election day, IMO. And yes--they'll view him as scary. The worst possible choice as a nominee.
