The issue here for me is not whether kids are being taught to non-violently protest or not, but that in doing so, more valuable lessons are being put aside. The Tea Party rallies and such could be considered non-violent, and few here would object to those (the few being the trolls). My objection is that protesting doesn't fit in with any sane curriculum, nor does it afford the child opportunities for success in life, as would a good grounding in reading, writing and arithmetic, among other basics. It is rather looking at kids as bricks in the wall, part of the societal machine of taking down whatever state they don't like.

On Tuesday, EAGnews.org brought you footage of Black Star Project community organizer Phillip Jackson teaching students in Chicago Public Schools' Jones College Prep the finer points of non-violent protesting. He was positioning the students to achieve a particular result he was seeking.

On Wednesday, we brought you a shocking interview with the dean of the school, Grace Moody, who explained that students should be taught how to protest.
