There is no scriptural command in the NT for the government to force money from any group of people to give to another group of people, for any reason. That commandment given by Yeshua was to individuals to help other individuals, and the guiding of that giving is the Holy Spirit, not one's idealism, calculation, or church. 2. Neither the budget or mission of the United States government is the budget or mission of the Catholic Church. It isn't the responsibility of our government to take care of people, but rather provide for the COMMON good (such as infrastructure) and secure our rights. 3. Charity to moochers is a SIN, not a sacrifice.
