In response to:

Christians Should Vote For Romney

If anyone reads what I'm writing here and says - hasn't rocketsquirrel already written this before? The answer is yes --- a few times. And I'll keep saying it until the Presidential election. The issue of the candidates and their religion has come up once again - and it'll come up many more times before the voting. Pre-election 2008, Barack AND Michelle Obama's pastor is seen in a "sermon" @ the Obama's church in Chicago basically yelling "gd" in the pulpit. Don't forget the congregation! They had absolutely NO PROBLEM with their pastor "Reverend" Jeremiah Wright saying it! Compare any Mormon LDS Church Mitt Romney has attended in his life and let's all wonder if anything like that has ever happened in his church.

It has , and mormons used to be virulently anti american , Brigham Young cursed America and mormons were required to swear an oath of vengeance against America after Smiths death in a gunfight with vigilantes , This hatred of non mormon americans lead to the first 9/11where mormons under order from Brigham Young massacred 160 or so innocent travelers . Present day mormons seem to be apple pie,mom and boy scout types and most probably are, At least until they get a revelation telling them otherwise

Well, Mormons were denied their First Amendment rights for some time, so I can see how they'd be... annoyed?
Up until about 10 years or so it was LEGAL to kill a Mormon in at least one state (MO?).

(And no, I'm Presbyterian.)

No they were not and You are referring to a law on the missouri books that was enacted during frontier times after porter rockwell attempted to murder their governor. You probably are a mormon and thats ok Squirly asked a question and I answered it.

Does annoyed give you the right to slaughter 160 or so innocent travelers and rob them?

You have got to be kidding!! Here are some indisputable historic facts that contradict this misguided post:

(1) Brigham Young encouraged 500 men to enlist in the Mormon Battalion during the Mexican American War. They marched in the longest infantry march ever, building roads through territories that later became Arizona and New Mexico, ending up in San Diego California. The oath they took was to the United States military -- not "against America"! And this was while they were heading west with their families after being forced by mobs to leave everything behind in both Missouri and Illinois. (See "extermination order" of Gov Boggs.)

(2) A "gunfight"??? Joseph Smith, his brother Hyrum, and 2 other men were unarmed prisoners who had been promised protection in exchange for surrendering to the authorities to face trumped up charges. The only guns were in the hands of their supposed protectors -- who killed the Smith brothers in cold blood!

Smith had a gun on him when he was killed and had fired shots ( sounds like a gunfight to me), They were killed by vigilantes . The oath I mentioned was ended in the early 1900s due to political pressure , They did slaughter over 160 people in the mountain meadows massacre and Brigham Young himself was seen driving around Salt Lake in one of the Fancher's Hand Carved wagons with a team of their prize horses . Troops were sent to Utah to keep the mormons in line

No one is saying that Obama's church is right. But certainly, Mormonism is wrong. There are NOT multiple Gods and Jesus is NOT Satan's brother.

It's no secret that I have been and remain a vocal critic of Mitt Romney. To say that his conservative bona fides are suspect is an understatement. I have tremendous respect for a number of fellow evangelical Christians who say that they will not support his presidential candidacy. I expect I will anger some of them, and may even lose a few friends. Still, in November, I am voting for Mr. Romney and suggest that any Christian - Republican, Democrat or independent - should do the same.

Jesus admonished: "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves:...
