If the federal government would pay attention to the things it's supposed to do like highways (infrastructure) and keep it's nose out of things like health care that it has no constitutional right to be in, there would be plenty of tax money to just pay for the repairs and upgrades.
If I can afford to buy something, I don't buy it. It's nice to see a governor putting that into practice. I wish we had him.

articles, but on this issue you are wrong. We ask these people to protect and defend us...that gives them the right to be respected. I don't believe it's "clear" that Crowley abused his authority. He "clearly" has the right to arrest a person who is causing a public disruption. He "clearly" has the right to investigate a reported burglary in progress. You "clearly" should go back to writing about something else.

to journalism? Whatever happened to unbiased reporting just for the sake of the truth? If people are commentators, they should say so. If they are writing editorials, they should say so. If they are doing either and passing it off as reporting the news, that is a disgrace.

Dr. K. I am praying that he does not pass any form of "health care reform" that will "bolster" his flagging poll numbers. His agenda is now becoming clear to Americans and his disregard for the Constitution is blatant. The protests have only just begun. We will continue our peaceful protests and will be joined by other Americans who love this country. If they pass a bill against our will, our numbers will grow.
they pass a bill which requires Americans to purchase health insurance, there will be a flurry of lawsuits filed that will ultimately require the Supreme Court to decide the issue. Hatch was right in asking to have the issue looked at early before significant damage was done. Baucus acted foolishly in his haste to be a useful minion to the POTUS and party leaders. What good is passing a law that can't pass the stink test with regard to Constitutionality? It's a big waste of time and money. Our money.

I also believe him to be a Communist...he wants the control, not just the money. That's why he sat in Wright's church for 20 years for starters. They practice a Marxist form of religion with Black Liberation Theology. He knew it and he agreed with it.
central Washington is also an agricultural area dependent on irrigation...if the feds can cut off irrigation water in California, they can cut it off here. Control the food source and control the people? Doesn't sound quite so paranoid now.

IdahoGal. I left public teaching when I realized I wasn't hired to teach but more to indoctrinate.

"On the other hand, I can see how you came up with such a colorful metaphor to describe my post since you showed with your opening statement that what is actually written has no baring on your pre-conceived opinion."

When you get up on that high horse, MikeR, you should be prepared for someone to point out that you are exposing yourself (or should I say "baring" yourself) to ridicule. "Bearing" would be the determination of position, comprehension of one's position, the object, surface or point that supports. You may want to take a note to avoid further embarrassment.
