Be careful what you wish for there, Dread. You're sounding a lot like the Baker's Union and we all know how that turned out, don't we? Smitty isn't the only one "going Galt". Quite a few people have joined over into the "let it burn" camp. I'm not there quite yet, but I have a contingency plan in place in case this situation goes from bad to worse (which given the decision-making level indicated on the part of the Dems lately, it will)
