About the feet in jars....go back and look through JD Mullane's reports that have been posted at Hot Air. In one of those reports, he mentioned that a witness testified during the trial that Gosnell told them the feet were for "research". Yes, this is likely to be true. It is illegal to sell fetal tissue, but there are provisions in the Gift Act that allow money to exchange hands for "storage, preparation, transportation", etc. of donated tissue, including fetal tissue obtained from an abortion. Research grants are funded via NIH.
This is the same man who supports abortion legislation that permits actions of gross negligence similar to those that would be seen in the office of a Dr. Gosnell....for young women under 18...without parental knowledge!
Chris Matthews...is that you, Tingles?
The left has a lot to hide in Gosnell's story.
Fast forward to today.... Gosnell coming up with his own abortion "techniques", i.e. "precipitating fetuses" into toilets and "snipping" spinal columns... Feminist outrage in 1972 compared to nothing now. CDC and FDA condemnation in 1972 compared to nothing now. Media response then compared to now.
Guy, seen the info coming out of LifeNews showing the connections between IPPF and Gosnell yet? http://www.lifenews.com/2013/04/17/planned-parenthood-connected-to-women-gosnell-injured-in-abortions/ Found a European medical journal article about the events (google "super coil fiasco"). Interesting story. Would make an amazing movie. Gosnell involved in Mother's Day Massacre in 1972 with Harvey Karman. Poor women used as guinea pigs, first in Bangladesh (with PP's help) then in Philly (1972)
Here's the link to the grand jury report charging Gosnell and staff for various crimes. It's a difficult read, to say the least, but it provides an accurate viewpoint of what we're likely to see if appropriate regulatory measures are not enforced. http://www.phila.gov/districtattorney/PDFs/GrandJuryWomensMedical.pdf
Liberals say this is all for the sake of "women's health". Is this really the best we can do?
Quote from grand jury report: "A nineteen-year-old girl was held for several hours after Gosnell punctured her uterus. As a result of the delay, she fell into shock from blood loss, and had to undergo a hysterectomy."
Quote from grand jury report: "On another occasion, Gosnell simply sent a patient home, after keeping her mother waiting for hours, without telling either of them that she still had fetal parts inside her. Gosnell insisted she was fine, even after signs of serious infection set in over the next several days. By the time her mother got her to the emergency room, she was unconscious and near death."
