ODD Humanitarianism

I work for Head Start and teach 3-5 year olds. We had a child this year that hit, kicked and spit on us. He went ballistic if anything did not go his way. He grabbed us between the legs, pulled my shirt down, ripped my clothes and left welts on me the shape of his hand. He kicked another staff in the face. Broke her glasses, bloodied her nose and knocked out a filling. The agency is actually balking at paying her dental bill. There was absolutely nothing we could do to him or with him. These "special" individuals have federal rights. The teachers have none. I was told to pick my battles. I asked "Which one?"
