Why would the President get involved in budget talks. He has never seen one, and he doesn't want one. A budget implies that there are limits to how much you can spend, and that is not something Obama would even consider.

Ask your buddy Obama two questions for me ( he won't answer my calls ): 1. Since the U.S. has withdrawn all combat troops from Iraq, why are we still spending as much money in Iraq as when that terrible unfunded war was ongoing? 2. If the war was unfunded, how can we take the money we are "saving" and "invest" it in Social programs at home since we aren't saving anything and we haven't quit spending on Iraq at all?
I think we should go back to the original IRS tax scheme of 7% max and on less than 1% of the people and adjust the size of Govenment to fit within that revenue stream. Better yet, adopt the tax system that worked just fine for the 124 years preceeding the IRS and make Congress live within the framework of the Constitution. Wouldn't that be a revolution.
The difference between Conservatives and Liberals is that Conservatives sign donation checks on the front and Liberals sign donation checks on the back.
I tithe and more which should meet the needs as set out by Mr. Bowyer. Beyond that I pay taxes which, the Government uses also to meet more than the needs of immigrants and I would bet that if that expenditure of tax dollars were limited to a tithe there probably would be little gripping about it. Immigrant/aliens are not as far as I see a burr under the saddle of the vast majority of the U.S. Citizenry. Illegal immigration however is a hot button. I am not rewarded by my Government for breaking laws and not paying taxes and feel the same should apply across the board. A major tenant of our National Identity is the issue of equality, as in equal right, duties, and responsibilities.

On Monday, HuffPo was trying to deride Paul Ryan for only having passed to two bills in his 13 years as a Rep. I was posting that way too few people remember that any bill that becomes Law, simultaneously becomes a Tax Bill to the public and how much better off we would be if all Congresspersons limited themselves to two or fewer "Bills". Ryan shows by example what Fiscal resposibility looks like.
