Hal: I had a great insurance program, but when I turned 65, I was forced into medicare. Now there are two doctors within 25 miles of my home that accept medicare, and one of those is less than competent. So now I get substandard care, with my insurance covering only the 10% that medicare doesn't. In addition, if medicare doesn't cover it, my insurance won't either. So illnesses and procedures that were previously covered may no longer be. This medicare recipient is NOT extremely satisfied with my coverage and treatment. Turn 65, and you may not be either.
