Well... maybe not the only way. We could set about electing like minded people to congress and top it off by electing Ron Paul as President. Either solution would get the job done. Our problem is that it is impossible to get Americans to agree on anything in substantial enough numbers to accomplish anything. Even things that actually are good for the country. So, the choice is pretty clear, isn't it. We can keep preaching to the choir while eternally bogging ourselves down in arguments over minutia, thereby accomplishing nothing. Or... we can make a choice, bite the proverbial bullet, and get this done. In any case, one thing should be clear to all of us by now. Woofin' in the wind doesn't pay very well.

As much as all of us may agree that the current system of taxation in the United States had got to go, in our heart of hearts we all know one thing to be true. left up to Congress and the President, no matter who he or she may be, it's NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. Frankly, the only way I see there to be a way of ever making it happen will be via the 1776 method. Open revolt. No. I'm not recommending a hot revolution. I'm suggesting a real tax revolt. A refusal by all citizens to file a tax return at all. A refusal by all employers to continue the theft from paychecks. Etc. Granted, it would take all of us participating and a lot of bravery, but it is the one and only way we will ever see the change that needs to be made.

I started reading this article in the hopes that perhaps, just perhaps, one of the neocon writers on this site was finally prepared to show Ron Paul a modicum of the respect he so richly deserves. I should have known better.

Thank you John. Stating the obvious is necessary as there are some who remain oblivious to the facts no matter how easy they are to find. What I find to be the most disturbing part of this article is the result of the survey. To me it is incredible that there are 13% of likely voters who just can't seem to decide whether or not it is a good idea to allow the government to steal $10,000 of their money and then give it to someone who can afford to buy a $40,000 car. Shouldn't we be asking ourselves what the wisdom is in allowing these people to vote at all?

It guarantees the right of the people to keep and bear arms and makes absolutely no mention of "law abiding citizens" nor of any specific use for those arms. It is not at all helpful to either misstate or to misinterpret the constitution when editorializing and, as a matter of fact, only further muddys the water. In this case, until the facts come out at trial, the only question I have is this... Would we have been subjected to two months of kabuki theatre by every racist anti gun wing nut had it been Martin who had killed Zimmerman? I believe the answer is obvious.

The common denominator throughout the entire Obamacare law with regard to each of the "agencies" it forces upon us seems to be the complete lack of any form of oversight, review, appeals process or the ability to sue. You will do as we say serf! My, my. How very nice for them.

Although Mr. Wilson will be sorely missed, it seems we no longer need concern ourselves with his work as the government has now granted itself permission to kidnap any of us at will and incarcerate us without due process, forever if they so wish. They have even granted themselves the right to kill us should they deem it appropriate to do so. All on the say so of the President... or whoever. Clearly your belief in the dogma of the big government types on both sides of the aisle regarding Ron Paul, including that of Dr. Sowell, is outweighed, in orders of magnitude, by your lack of knowledge regarding the man, his positions or his policies.
