Yes, young people can be idealistic and that quality combined with a lack of experience and historical perspective and a natural tendency to "buck the system" can and does make them vulnerable to unethical candidates who would exploit such qualities for their own purposes. On the other hand these young people and generations upon generations of young people before them served our country quite honorably in the military services. Many of them died for us before they even got a chance to cast a vote. There is nothing wrong with our children. We just have to teach them from an early age, how to separate the noise of political campaigns from the values and truth as evidenced by the past records of the various candidates.

If I were President, I would call in all my Cabinet Secretaries, White House Staff and Czars (if I had any) and tell them that, consistent with my campaign pledge, I am cutting the size of government. I would dismiss all National Defense departments (for the time being) and focus on all of other aspects of the executive branch. My assignment would be to return in 90 days with a plan to reduce the size and scope of their budgets by 1/3 within 4 years. I would instruct them to look at GAO records, audits, etc. to root out duplication of services, inefficiencies, failed programs, and other wasteful practices. May I suggest that we allow tax and spenders to have their way and fiscal conservatives to have their way too? Here is how we do that. First, we elect congressmen who will limit congressional staff numbers, and terms of congressmen and reduce taxes (too many resources, too much power and too much potential for control and corruption); and hold congress to their constitutional powers (get the Feds out of our business, restore states rights). Our elected officials pander to an illegal minority, ignore the laws of the land, and in doing so put our country in peril. Rush committed the most inexcusable of offenses in this era of tail wagging the dog, sterile, oblique, convoluted communications. He unashamedly treated blacks and other minorities...as equals. Rush apparently assumes that despite what the PC crowd would have him believe, public figures should be able to handle criticism no matter what their race or political affiliations may be. The responses of people on the left to Rush’s lack of PC editing, point out how PC severely skews reality. Thus, Rush is dubbed "insensitive" and even "racist." Bullhockey!

To reverse this we need sustained promotion of traditional values. You don't get promotion of traditional values from liberals and compromising "conservatives". In addition to the diminishment of family values, the revision of historical truths, and the irreverent bastardization of religious dogma,the congress continues to enact laws to promote the progressive agenda in our work places, particularly within government. We have our work cut out for us, but we must reverse this awful trend. Now that the public has become used to hating him, it is easy for the libs to use Cheney as their scapegoat.
