Part of what is happening is as Mclewen(?) said... we have become a nation of vidiots. We are fast food everything. Everything that needs to be learned, should be learned in a 5 min sound byte. When my kids were complaining about how hard their research projects were as they were sitting in front of their computers I was remembering the hours I spent in libraries looking up and tracking down the information I needed.

When I watch them not be able to live without texting for a minute, I remembered the hours we would go without communicating because we didn't have the dime for the phone booth.

My father was a college professor and he thought Jimmy Carter was the best president of the 20th century and literally said Reagan will go down as the Hitler of American politics. What I have discovered about professors is that often, they know one thing then think that makes them capable(in their own mind), to be an expert in all things. Gates, like Sharpton, found his niche to make money. Over time he began(or always did)to believe his rhetoric. He became the tyrannical king, surrounding himself with listeners, who looked at him in awe. He probably can't even see his role in the event last week. It makes perfect sense, he is friends with Obama (the quoted constitutional expert professor).

Sunday, in the park with my 15 year old son, we talked about this. He insisted it was racial. I asked him what was racial about it. He goes white cop/black man, it was racial profiling. My son doesn't live with me. When I tried to explain to him about there being other cops(one being black)there and both standing behind Crowley, he just got angry. My son is quite bright and the indoctrination has gotten to him.

What happened to critical analysis in America? Not from him, but from his stepdad and mom and his school. We truly are becoming a nation of Vidiots.

What's important now is to not let our guard down. Obama is not out. He,(they) is/are merely down. But just like any evil entity, they just adapt to the new reality and see what they can get away with next.

Two things must happen now and really for now on is: 1) keep staying vocal, 2) Push the republicans to be who they are supposed to be.

On a side note we should write to our conservative talk show people to get along. If you are a Michael Savage follower, tell to stop bad mouthing fox and if you are a fox follower, tell them to reach out to him. We need them to bury their petty crap.

In groups with good intentions you don't make yourself the solution, (ie. how can you better serve president obama), you ask questions that create thought for change like ask not what your country can do for you...ask what you can do for your country. All our senators and Congressman have, I believe, lifetime full coverage. None of it is govt care. I think we should start by having them use our military hospitals like the rest of the govt. I think they need to feel the stand in line and wait for care, like they want to push on us. Maybe then they will feel like one of us.

To think that we are funding the pensions of unions and non unions alike is disgusting. The reason why people take jobs like a GM or Chrysler is so they don't have to create wealth like us small business owners. For years, they kept demanding higher and higher wages and pension plans at the expense of the company they work for. Now that their plans have bankrupted the company they are complaining that they still want their money. Well, now they own the company.
