Kevin, actually abstinence education does work. YOu are remembering only the studies that you agreed with. Studies have been conducted showing that abstinence education does work. and that sex ed by liberals work. Who is correct. probably both are correct to some degree. reality is much more complex than what your perceive. THere are no facts, only interpretations. Every issue is infinitely complex so respect others opinions and consider them open mindedly, kevin.

Abstinence ONLY education does not work. Abstinence only education has been the standard in schools for decades. The rate of teen pregnancy increased steadily over time. Understanding options and risks and allowing teens to make informed choices will help to reduce issues like the spread of disease and pregnancy for this age group. If the only option is don't do it, teens will rebel and take risks that they might not if they were not forced to be secretive about their sex lives and felt able to talk to their parents without fear of punishment.
