Newt's Honorable Option

The Newt is a Constitutionalist?!?! The Newt has said we need to limit free speech! Newt wants to limit personal gun ownership! Newt has championed the Patriot Act, and suggested it be expanded! He has also championed the NDAA! And you have the temerity to call him a Constitutionalist! Ron Paul has been a champion of reigning in the government for over 30 years. And Newt has become a Constitutionalist?! Hare you ever read the Constitution? Thank you, Robert Walker

What's Wrong With Romney?

Each candidate should be vetted, not by the media, nor the government, but by the voters. Cain is a former Chairman of the Board of the Kansas City branch of the Federal Reserve Bank, has asked the rhetorical question in regards to the Fed printing money, "Who else can do It?" That does not give me confidence in his leadership ability, if he doesn't know who can do one of the most important jobs given to Congress. He advocated the passage of TARP by writing in an op ed piece reported in The New American Magazine, www.TheNewAmerican.com that Congress "should just shut up" and let the "collective action" work. This is a Republic, not a collective like the old USSR or Cuba or China. Cain must learn the type of government we have.

The "something better" would be for the government to get out of the insurance business. Any thing that the federal government gets involved in, ends up in a shambles. A fine example is the Interstate Highways. Many of the roads and bridges built by the Romans still stand. But Our Fearless Golfer tells us that a bridge, less than 100 years old must be rebuilt. Please, lets send him back to Kenya, or at least to Chicago, which is about the same thing. Thank you, Robert Walker

The best action is to see that all the plus points of the Candidate you back are posted far and wide. That type of action would be appreciated by most of the rest of us. But not the Main Stream Media, nor the would be dictator now fouling the air in our House at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington District of Criminals. Thank you, Robert Walker

The comments that have been posted are a discredit to the great piece written by a masterful writer. Attacks on each other do not solve the problems created by a government that is owned by the same people that own the Federal Reserve Bank. Do you remember the Fed? Mr. Sowell has pointed out the fallacies of the speech made by Our Fearless Golfer, and instead of us working toward putting our country back on track, we attack each other and call names. The action is fitting for 10 year old school girls, but not adults who want to restore our Constitutional Government. And, I believe, that is the point of the piece submitted by Mr. Sowell. When the Social Security System of the United States came into existence, the average life expectancy of Americans was 65. So, the average American paid into the system for a number of years, then died. Hooray for the socialist government. Now that the life expectancy of the Average American is beyond 65, the government is looking at moving the retirement age beyond 65. Hooray for the Socialist Government. I would like to ask Mr. Jacoby where the huge surplus is, and how much it is. It was viewed as a forced savings to provide for those of us who have outlived the average. Who or what organization received the billions paid by those who did not live to the average age? Where are those funds? Thank you, Robert Walker

Mr. Stossel, Ron Paul did say what departments he would cut. The IRS and the Department of Education are two that he mentioned during the 2008 campaign. Time was limited, and Chris Wallace's desire to get an argument going between Bachman and Pawlenty put a damper on getting real answers. Newt Gingrich's put down was exactly what was needed at that time. Ron Paul came in second in the poll, and the candidate who received the least number of votes got more press time. Paul was not even mentioned. Do you have any idea what is up with that? Thank you, Robert Walker
