Why the opposition to minimum wage laws ? How the heck can you support a family and buy a house and a car etc on LESS than minimum wage ? You can't even do this on minimum !

read Dr. Sowells books or google: thomas sowell and william f buckley jr, and he explains it. Do your research instead of asking bloggers. This information is not hidden or only given out by a secret conservative society, it is there for the learning, just read or google. also Milton Freedman explains it as well as many others, im sorry we dont control 95% of the media so we can plop the info in your lap like the libtards do with their emotionally biased, hatemongering, class warfare, demonization, message of falsification but if you can read and type and are inquisitive enough to ask the question... the answers are there...

Because you don't go into a store and buy apples that the government says should cost at least $10 a dozen. It's a completely arbitrary thing the government does to pander to the uninformed.
If you can't support your family on the current minimum wage then maybe the government should make the minimum wage $50 an hour....see the foolishness in that?

There are people that don't need to support a family or buy a house that benefit from a lower-than-minimum wage. The classic example is an student from a low-income community, who will benefit from a part-time job to help paying for his-her career.

Many of the hispanics are working for minimum wage with no benefits. As such, there is no way they are self supporting and must be subsidized whilr they have oodles of children.

Yet the liberal Democrats who depend on their votes for survival continue to insist they are self supporting, are paying taxes and are exactly the kind of people we should welcome with an open border!

California could have a budget surplus but for the money Governor Moonbeal Brown admits they are spending on Non Self Supporting Illegals (not legal Hispanics, BUT ILLEGALS).

Here are the numbers. Budget Deficit 16 Billion. Spending on Illegals, 21 Billion!
I rest my case.

The most successful Republican presidential candidate of the past half century-- Ronald Reagan, who was elected and reelected with landslide victories-- bore little resemblance to the moderate candidates that Republican conventional wisdom depicts as the key to victory, even though most of these moderate candidates have in fact gone down to defeat.

One of the biggest differences between Reagan and these latter-day losers was that Reagan paid great attention to explaining his policies and values. He was called "the great communicator," but much more than a gift for words was involved. The issues that defined Reagan's vision were things he...
