Ultrasound will not "save"lives. No one has the right to force any pregnant woman to have one. Roe v Wade was not the beginning of abortion in America. It was the end of women dying from abortions in America. Adoption is not the answer, since it's absolutely impossible to force every pregnant pwomen to do this. Even if Roe had never happened, there still would have been millions and millions of abortions here. And who knows how many dead or gravely injured women . We cannot afford to go back to the days of back-alley abortionists .

The woman didn't get pregnant by accident, and, last time I checked, murder was a felony. As for your assertion about the end of women dying from abortions in America, you need to look up how many women have died from having abortions, including at your beloved Planned Parenthood clinics. Because you've already been born, you see no problem will killing babies, as long as they aren't you. You people are disgusting, but most of your posts have been pretty idiotic.

Isn't it astounding that before the advent of "contraception" there were relatively few abortions. Seems that many people have rationalized a "right to abortion" mainly because of failed contraception. I guess it comes down to intent: if the pregnancy was not planned--it should not be. We used to know that unprotected sex COULD result in pregnancy, and pregnancy WOULD result in a birth. My, how stupid we've become...or rather, how vile and destructive.

"No one has the right to force any pregnant woman to have one." - And yet we have the right to force abortion on the unborn baby?

"It was the end of women dying from abortions in America." - All how many dozen of them? No, they just died from ones that weren't legally sanctioned. Abortion still harms women.

"it's absolutely impossible to force every pregnant pwomen to do this" - Which is why so many women shouldn't have gotten pregnant by the wrong man.

"We cannot afford to go back to the days of back-alley abortionists." - How are the legal ones any better?

What? How does adoption not end the misery you state? Adoptive parents are more than willing to feed, house, educate, care for--and LOVE--the unwanted child. By the way, abortionists already "do a brisk business." You think they do it for free??

"The poorest women will just use coathangers and other makeshift devices , and die in large numbers."

More rumblings from Mr. 1824's alternate universe. NEWS FLASH: Most abortion clients are NOT married women who can't afford birth control. What's it going to take to get that simple, self-evident fact thru your head?

Women do NOT have the right to have sex with the wrong guy and then have the resulting child killed. Even in the cases where being "poor" is an issue, it's not the main issue.

At last week's signing of "executive actions" designed to combat gun violence in America, President Obama, flanked by schoolchildren, said, "...when it comes to protecting the most vulnerable among us, we must act now."

There's no doubt that children, especially schoolchildren, are vulnerable to all kinds of threats, but are they "the most vulnerable," as the president claimed, or is there another category of human life that qualifies for that designation?

Forty years after a Supreme Court majority opened the door to legalized abortion, the number of aborted babies has reached roughly 55 million....
