Crognale, you don''t know what you're talking about. Making abortion illegal will never stop women from having them. Pro-choicers like me don't like abortion and don't want them to happen; we just realize that there is absolutely no way to stop women from having htem. In fact., all pro-choicers wnat to prevent as many abortions as possible ,including me . But this is more easily said than done.

Abortion was already very common before Roev Wade, and would have remained so even if Roe had never happened . And it will remain common if Roe is ever overturned .

"How can any one murder a baby"? It's very easy. When a desperately poor woman knows that bringing a child into the world would result in it growing up in abject poverty, hunger,malnutrition,lack of medical care and education, abortions happen, period. Is it good to subject a child to such a horrible life? Unless yopu can keep this from happening, abortion will remaoin inevitable. A four week old fetus is NOT a"baby". It is a fetus.

And Americans need to fight the Catholic church to keep it from forcing the government to do awful things like making contracpetives illegal, which it definitley wants to do, taking reproductive rights away from women, and many other things which would interfere with the rights of millions of non-catholic and non-christian Americans . Obama is PRO-CHOICE, not "pro-abortion". No one is "pro-abortion". Anti-choicers are NOT "pro-life"- they are anti-choice.

Continued- Anti-choicers just don't realize how catastrophic it would be for America to make abortion illegal again. It will be absolutely ftutile to try to enforce the law. We COULD do more to prevent abortions, but anti-choicers want to do it the wrong way .

In fact, abortion will increase greatly, and many poor women, particularly poor black and Hispanic ones, will die., ofr nearly persih, from botchjed illegal abortions, the same as in every country where abortion is illegal . The only way to prevent abortion is to prevent unwanted pregnancies an dsee to it that the government provides subsidies to poor pregnant women so that they will be able to provide for their children. But anti-choicers ,being conservatives, don't want the government to do this.

Wrong. If this nation is not careful, it could become illegal to BE a homosexual , Gay people could be persecuted, which is exactly what many religious conservatives want . Many homosexuals are perfectly comfortable with their sexual identity, and don't want any one trying to interfere with their lives and trying to"make" them heterosexua;l.

The writer has things reversed ; it's poverty and unemployment which have led to the erosion of the family, not the other way around . The poor education so many disadvantaged Americans receive has created things such as illiteracy etc.

For the last time, marriage does not need to be "defended". Allowing same sex marriage does not interfere in any way with opposite sex couples getting married and raising families, any more than allowing women and blacks to vote interfered with the voting rights of white males . It's the rights of ggay people in America which need to be defended. DOMA is nothing but a smokescreen for ultimately chipping away at the rights of gay Americans, It;s not only totally unnecesary but immoral .
