Without government help, an awful lot of young people would never be able to attend college, or get a graduate degree, or go to law or medical school . Without government help they would be doomed ot lives of utter poverty ,hoplessness and helplessness. People SHOULD work hard and try to be as self-sufficient and self-reliant as possible. But many people DO need help from the government. Star, STOP BLAMING THE VICTIMS ! If people like you got their way and the government just stopped helping people, poverty, unemployment , crime and human misery and chaos would be America's lot . And I forgot to mention this fact- the abortion rate would be much higher than it is already .

They are fine with more taxes as long as they will be taken care of. It is disturbing to hear that they are willing to spend their own money on tattoos and cell phones but cannot buy the book for class until the financial aid comes in.”

For those who see social conservatism as an annoyance and argue that Republicans must purge this agenda from their...
