At some point we are going to have to come up with solutions to problems like illegal immigration to attract other voters. The age old arguments of send them all back and amnesty them all is not going to work any more. I would propose building the double border fence from california to the gulf, tell everyone they have 90 days to come forward to get a "permit to stay in the country temporarily with some type of moratorium on the offer. Otherwise, people will still not come forward. A way of making the guest worker program policeable also needs to be looked at otherwise we end up in the same predicament later. Then of course we need to find a way to make sure the laws are enforced. What say you?

A Law Arizona Can Live With

I'm tired of the media talking about conservatives alienating themselves from "the fastest growing segment of the population, latinos". What about the people who are already in the country. Who's representing me? It seems like it would be bad political strategy to represent people who either aren't in the country or on planet earth yet.
I am skeptical of Rubio. After growing up in Miami I can tell you that most Cuban American politicians have run to affect Cuba policy exclusively. I don't have any reason to believe that Rubio is different. I doubt that he will make any decisions about an issue like immigration that would negatively affect Cubans currently coming here by the thousands. Typically candidates in Florida run on a platform and do the exact opposite once elected. There are no "conservatives" in Florida politics, just blue dog democrats in need of a party to attach themselves to.
