Maybe They're Just That Dumb

This is extremely well put. There is a line in the movie "The Incredibles" where the villian says something to the effect that if everyone is special, than no one will be special. Since we all can't be wildly successful, let's bring down those who are to a level of mediocrity shared by the masses. Life is a bell curve. Some succeed wildly, the majority are average and some fail miserably. The failures typically owe it to risky behaviors, poor decisions/choices and blaming others. The successful typically owe it to hard work, intelligent decision-making and taking full responsibility for cause/effect.

Margaret Thatcher said exactly that in Parliament to the Labor party: Liberals try to make everyone miserable. Google it, and you'll find it, under Margaret Thatcher on Socialism. She says the member (MP) would rather the poor be poorer as long as the rich were less rich. It's a hoot. She hit the nail on the head.

What you said is absolutely correct..WE teach those tenets to OUR kids and they mostly succeed, the obama voters call the successful members of their group sellouts and their children hear that and lose all hope because of peer pressure from their ADULTS ergo another generation is lost to the welfare plantation...dumb children having children results in even dumber children down the line..we have to stop subsidizing this.

Being president was always easy for Barack Obama.

But delivering on the big words has been considerably tougher.

Obama’s big troubles stem from the rigidity of the left’s broken ideas. They admit of no compromise. Consequently, Obama has subsumed his whole personality into an unworkable progressive ideology that was dead outside of academia- and news rooms- until he resurrected it.

It’s the idea that a benign government of technocrats and academics can engineer near perfect justice at the trivial cost in liberty and money to us.

Yes; maybe they just are that dumb to think it could work.
