I enjoyed the movie but on several occasions was distracted by the notion that it was promoting the worship of nature. A previous comment from a fellow sci-fi fan said that aliens always try to take over the world does not acknowledge the movie's dominant theme of the religion of the natives. Jonah is right that it does display humanities design for faith.

Voice of Reason's reference to what happened to education when the government took it over is an excellent point which I had not heard mentioned before. The same reduction in quality is bound to happen to health care if the government takes over. Subsidized government options, like government run education, are bond to drastically reduce private options. Great analyst to Charles and Voice of Reason.

Phylo (#9 post) needs to read the article before he responds. He claimed that "neither...does anything to insure more Americans" but Charles said that the 25% reduction in tests done as a defense against a lawsuit could be used to provide $20,000 of coverage to a poor family of 4 who do not currently qualify for government insurance.
