Snopes said this was fiction, so I went over to truthorfiction.com (less politically tilted) and found this: http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/r/Harry-Reid-Stand-Off-Mastermind.htm#.U1LrkvldXjI

The Inequality Bogeyman

When people say big business is evil, and big government is good (maybe oversimplifying here), I usually respond by saying that business at least answers to the marketplace, and if a company doesn't produce something people want, they will suffer for it. Government, on the other hand, has little responsibility, and seems to answer to nobody. In theory, the government answers to the people, but we've seen that dynamic diminish significantly in the past couple of decades, at least in part by a media that is essentially a cohort to the big government.
(Hear this in Andy Rooney's voice): Have you noticed that there isn't an anti-defamation group for swindlers, idolaters, and slanderers? I wonder why that is....
This is perhaps the most irresponsible article I have ever read on Townhall. First of all, you're quoting Bloomberg, then you go on to list all of the typical cliches that politicians use to bash doctors while simultaneously claiming to have all the answers. Just look at the language: "inceitivised to rip off patients" ... "prolong life needlessly" ..." risks of doing them are essentially nonexistent" (ALL surgery is risky)..." rational fear of fraud and unnecessary treatments"(on the part of insurers)?? Enough with the stereotypes! It's a fact that doctors fees are only 8% of the health care dollar in the US, and many surgical procedure fees have been cut. The Clinton administration made doctors the #2 target of the DOJ, just one step behind organized crime! And you're falling right into line with that thinking. My wife has worked managing a medical practice for over thirty years in one of the major medical centers in a major northeast city. She has people calling all the time requesting MRI's that the doctors have told them they don't need; and that's just for starters. What's next - all conservatives are racist teabaggers?
"...he wrote a health care bill, along with Republicans and Democrats..." She must have gotten hold of some powerful mushrooms - or is flat-out a revisionist of the history: the bill was written behind locked doors, strictly NRA: No Republicans Allowed!
Elizabeth Warren spent an all-time record $68M - unheard of in a Senate race - to defeat Brown because he might have been the deciding vote against Ocare, and she ended up in debt. Just where all that money came from speaks to the urgency on the part of the national D organization how far they'd go to defeat Brown. And the ads were very misleading about him. And how about the phony claim that "you can keep your current plan?"
Wow, never realized that

It Takes a Collectivist

"...we think that they should earn a little more..." OK, let's examine this statement a bit more deeply. The professor seems to think that it's her "we," apparently the leftist elites, who should be the ones who decide who gets "a little more." And right there we have her elitist mentality - putting herself in the position of being the arbiter of who gets what. And on what basis? Because she happens to be one of the elites? Because she's an enlightened collectivist? And how do the enlightened collectivists secure the position of being arbiters of who gets what? By suspending the Constitution, and by securing power. Jus' sayin...

But staying home from the polls is what gave us Warren.
