Destroying the California Dream

The problem with your argument is that California is not Rhode Island. We, as US Citizens, need to be concerned about California that makes up 1/7 to 1/5 of our US GDP depending on how you measure the GDP. Detroit can go to hell in a hand basket and maybe it impacts three other states directly. California has been dragging the US down with it and will destroy us if we don't support the California GOP in pulling it back from the brink. We have been treating CA as the Left Coast, too far away to bother us. Right now, CA license plates are all over NC in advance of the convention. They aren't here to enjoy nature! You cannot run from this because CA politics eventually makes it's way to the most remote corners. We have to make a stand!

Cuba is a one-party state. North Korea is a one-party state. California is a one-party state.

I'm not trying to draw any false parallels.

But I've noticed bad things happen when one political party has complete control of a government for too long, whether it's the Communist Party that's wrecked Cuba for 50 years or the Democrat Party that's wrecked California for 40.

So far, the Democrat monopoly in Sacramento has done nothing to cause Californians who seek greater freedom, lower taxes and a better business climate to begin taking rafts to Oregon or Mexico. But give the Democrats time.
