Time is running out on my tax reductions. In 27 days my taxes go up over $200/month. This bill would have 0 chance of passing in the house. Boenher laughed at the plan. There is,however, a Senate bill already passed that will keep my taxes from going up on January 1, 2013. I have written my Representative and told him to quit playing games and get the bill passed immediately. If he fails to act and my taxes go up, I told him I will hold him responsible and will vote for any Republican in the primary except him.

" . . will vote for any Republican in the primary except him."

Evidently the first time you would vote for a Republican, since you've already decided it will be the GOP's fault when your taxes go up. Did you know the House already passed a bill that would keep your taxes from going up? Never mind, you are a phony.

I have been a Republican since I switched to the Republican party to vote for Reagan. This is the same time most of Texas switched to the Republican party. Boehner refuses to even consider the Senate tax cuts. If Mike Conaway refuses to sign the HR 15 discharge petition or Boehner lets my taxes increase like he has threatened then yes, I will hold my Republican Representative responsible because it will be his fault.

the "dims" have already agreed not to raise taxes on those making under 250k. They are ready to sign the deal. It is YOUR party that is holding it up. Quit lying to yourself and face the truth

If this story is accurate, the Senate GOP wants a vote on Obama's proposal and Reid is the one who is "holding it up," at least in the Senate. Please explain why you think the GOP is obstructing anything. Or are you the one who is lying to himself that anything and everything is the GOP's fault?

I've been critical of Republican tactics and messaging this week, so let's give credit where it's due: Moments ago, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell took to the floor and offered an immediate vote on President Obama's fiscal cliff plan, which shocked the Beltway late last week.  (In case you're keeping score at home, this was the surreal proposal that induced McConnell to laugh out loud as it was outlined by Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner).  Harry Reid quickly objected and shut the whole thing down, labeling the suggestion a "stunt."  Think about that.  The President of the United States,...
