Call it good luck or call it favor, many of us have squandered and taken our advantages for granted and don't deserve the utopia that both sides would have you believe would come if we followed their advice.

Maybe this is already utopia, a fool's paradise paid for by borrowing from future generations. When we run out of other people's money to spend and the currency collapses, then the shiite will really hit the fan, as they say. It will be terrible. The underclass will have to start working for a living, and saving for their futures.

No.The underclass will riot and they will get what they want.

George, I hope you're correct. I'm afraid that the coming collapse will make the underclass--the professionally & permanently unemployed who live off of Obama's "stash" money--openly riot & loot for a living. You see, since we "owe" them, they don't actually have to work for a living--we do that for them. And saving for the future is not exactly the strong point of your garden-variety Obamabot--we're supposed to take care of that, too. We're kind of the goose that lays golden eggs.

THAT is what keeps the capons in congress from challenging this communist and THAT is what got them welfare in the first was initially extortion to stop the cities from burning back in the 60's. and that fear keeps the gravy train rolling to the tune of a trillion a year.

Nam, you are correct that they will riot. They will not get what they want, because it doesn't exist. The only thing that they might get is more poor people in the underclass as the government becomes more tyrantical and controlling. There will be no middle class as that is purely the result of a free market, there will only be those in power and all the rest (poor serfs).

They will riot, loot and murder first. This will insure a "dictatorship of the proletariat".

What a difference a few month makes.

Last month we were told by a fawning news media how great things were. The economy was a little engine that could.  And the declining unemployment rate was touted in headlines as significant progress toward economic recovery.

Unemployment rate falls to 7.8% in September, reported the Washington Post- a four-year low...”nearly”… whatever “nearly” means.

“The nation’s jobless rate dropped to its lowest point in nearly four years in September. And unlike some recent declines, this one happened for the right reason: not because people gave up looking for a job, but...
