I was thinking the same thing. The liberal MSM bias shines through on the stories they DON'T cover.

I had the same reaction. While some conservatives might like it, I agree with you about the effect it would have on left-leaning independents. Also, the word "enslaved" over a Black woman's face feeds into the stereotypes that some have of the "racist tea party." I think this will do more harm than good for our cause.
At my unionized university, we had our annual fall faculty meeting. The higher-ups told us that enrollment is falling, state financial support is declining, federal grants are decreasing, the university is in debt, there are fewer kids graduating from high school in our state so enrollment will continue to decline, and tuition rates went up yet again. Then, a union rep got up and talked about the tough times as well. Then he added, "Still, we got faculty a salary increase last year!" Half of the audience cheered wildly, apparently not hearing a single thing other speakers had just said. If anything, we should have been taking pay cuts to help the university survive. If we were a "real" business, we'd be out of business.

Are Dems feeling depressed? You bet. One of my neighbors actually took down his Obama yard sign overnight! I'm not kidding. It's been in his yard for a month, and it was there yesterday. As of this morning, I saw it sitting against a wall in his garage! Seems like someone's a little embarrassed about The Ones' performance last night...
I love #8. Where I work, a liberal had a bumper sticker on her car throughout the Bush years that showed a picture of a flag-draped coffin with the words "How Many More?" About a month after Obama's election, the bumper sticker suddenly disappeared. Her heart-felt concern for our men and women in uniform seemed to disappear as well.

Al Gore Versus '2016'

Part of the problem is that the MSM do story after story about movies like "An Inconvenient Truth" and ignore movies like 2016. Look back at the cheerleading the MSM did for Gore's movie after it came out. I've seen almost no coverage on 2016.

Obamanomics Has Failed Dismally

This is not helping the economy because businesses and individuals are simply afraid to invest or expand, no matter how low the interest rate. On top of that, these low rates are making bank accounts worthless investments. Right now, my savings gets 0.2%. I looked at my bank's CD rates recently, and only if I got it for three years or longer could I get above 1%. Their 90-day CD had an annual yield of 0.15% ! (My banker said she's embarrassed to offer such a rate.) The one-year CD rate is 0.45%. That's right - a $1,000 CD returns a ridiculous $4.50 in a year (or less than 40 cents a month!). In the late 80s, a $10,000 one-year CD gave me $63 per MONTH in interest. Today, a $10,000 FIVE-year CD returns only $15 per month.
For everyone here, if you haven't heard the 80s hit "Cult of Personality" by Living Colour, go find it on YouTube. When I first heard the song a few years ago, Obama came to mind immediately. Here's the verse that says it all: "I sell the things you need to be I'm the smiling face on your TV I'm the cult of personality I exploit you, still you love me I told you one and one make three I'm the cult of personality Like Joseph Stalin and Gandhi I'm the cult of personality."

Obama’s Goose Is Cooked

I'm hoping 2012 is like 1980. 32 years ago, the polls showed the race a dead heat right up until election day, and then Reagan won in a landslide. I have a friend who makes phone calls for a major polling organization, and he says there's a very strong undercurrent of hatred for Obama. He says a lot of these angry voters aren't included in the polls because they spout off about Obama and then refuse to answer the poll questions, or they just hang up before officially telling the pollster who they will vote for. It's obvious they will not vote for Obama. My friend says there are a LOT of people like this who aren't getting counted in the polls, but they will be voting.

Educational Lunacy

I'm a college teacher. Many years ago, I had several black students insinuate I was racist for requiring them to be on time for activities and meetings. Their rationale: "You need to know that we operate on 'black people's time.'" In other words, being late was part of their "culture," and I was being insensitive for not allowing for that. When they didn't show up for a field trip on time, I left without them. It was amazing... they were on time for future field trips! You do not make excuses for bad behaviors or attitudes.
Bigot, def: "a person who is intolerant of any ideas other than his or her own, esp on religion, politics, or race." I work at a university, and the angriest, most bitter people I meet are liberals. I call them "Christophobes." I've heard so many hateful things about Christians from these "tolerant" and "open-minded" liberals. There's one who has a bumper sticker "So many Christians, so few lions." How about the one who told me a crude sexual joke about Jesus and Mary? How about two lesbians who got up at a faculty party dressed as a priest and nun and did a vulgar skit about Catholics and sex? I've had enough of your liberal "love" and "tolerance," thank you.
