A friend on Facebook is already trying to pass this off as a Romney "megagaffe" in saying he wants to move these jobs and get the credit. Fools.

I watched the pieces about Romney at the RNC and felt that he was a very decent man and (quite frankly) had character traits I admire. I felt a lot better about the Romney/Ryan ticket once I got that glimpse of the man.

They should have a ref on stage to declare the bout over once Biden has been left unable to defend himself. Networks should stand by to re-run Titanic to cover the shortfall.

How do you stop bow-hunting, policy wonk Alpha-Male Paul Ryan making it into second gear and just slaughtering Biden? I would be scared that his easy demolition of Biden would just end up looking like a massive bully beating up a defenseless old man and may look bad on the TV ;)

May I take this opportunity as a British fellow-traveler to remind my US cousins of what just happened in the Ryder Cup? If I was handling Romney's debate prep I would be making him watch re-runs of the last day right now and reminding him that each one has to be won but even then he cannot take anything for granted. Still. It was good to wake up to Chris Matthews crying this morning. His tears sustain me.

Update 9. How can the press say this is the first time in 4 years BO has been told he is wrong? What were the mid-terms then? This is the man who actually gave birth to the Tea Party!!!!!!
Interesting that the final comment was "used to taking questions from reporters" after they make the point about not being able to rebut Romney's healthcare numbers. Maybe the first glimmer of self-awareness in that it is their softballing and peddling of falsehoods have exposed this empty suit of an amateur for what he was? Maybe the press need to be harder on the President? Maybe the healthcare numbers are actually correct? I am sure after November they will find their spirit to be be a watchdog when Romney is in the Oval Office.

There is only one G in bigot. Which is something I would expect someone who peddles the "coulter is a man" meme to at least know.
Do you still have the front page article and can you scan and post it here? That is something I would love to see.
New narrative being tried out at HuffPo: Romney can adjust his tax return after the election to claim back the rest of the tax he is legally entitled to. So look out for "he is just doing it to make Obama look bad but he doesn't really mean it" despite lack of evidence.

How Liberals Argue About Healthcare

I live in Scotland. We don't actually like the NHS, it is a nationalised industry run for the benefit of it's staff not it's patients. Our healthsystem is the third largest employer in the world (the Chinese Red Army and Indian National Railway are the top two). We have a committee called NICE which decides what drugs we can get (the Lockerbie Bomber would have only lived 3 months in a Scottish Jail, back in Lybia they gave him the drug we would not and he lasted 3 years) It is a system so "beloved" by the rest of the world that no other country have copied our system. That lady may spend "every summer" in England, but we have to live with it.
