Carol. I totally agree with your article. I don't see any commenters on your article below answering your questions. Here's a challenge. Can anyone answer just one of them? How about: "WHY will a debt crisis arise, and if one does, WHY will the country "suffer"?"

#1. It is not the "fiscal cliff". It is the "Obama and Dem/Socialist" cliff.

#2. The country will suffer because the above don't give a rats behind about the country and have moved to break the back of the economy.

Paul Ryan is, of course, right -- spending is unsustainable and the USA is on an economic collision course unless some serious changes are made.  But if the GOP wants the public to understand what's at stake, they need to do better at explaining the problem than press releases like this
