The Media's Rape of Reality

As a conservative, I cannot argue with you at all for what you have stated in this post. My sentiments exactly. We are in the process of reaping what we have sown. It is the beginning of judgment, and it will be bitter.

Wasn't aware of Tozer's work being available as recordings. Thanks much. I had recommended his "Knowledge of the Holy" when I had the bookstore.

Glad you knew where I was coming from. I'm now starting Lloyd-Jones' 6th volume in his 14-volume series on Romans. Tremendous teaching. Each chapter in his books is essentially a sermon. The weekly presentations are therefore each a "chapter" from a book, although I expect the 1,600 available sermons cover material that is not yet published in written form. All 1,600 sermons are now available online.

Thanks, Riverson. I'm somewhat familiar with Lloyd-Jones writing, but have never heard a sermon. I'll definitely look up your reference. Good preaching is pathetically rare nowadays.

I get a lot from some of the recorded sermons of A.W. Tozer, who is often posted and referenced on other conservative sites. I similarly recommend him to you, if you aren't already familiar.

B-10: I intend this respectfully for you, as I think you would find it worthwhile. Google "MLJ Trust" to get to a site with weekly recorded sermons by Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones. Find the link to "Oneplace". He's been gone now for over 30 years, but his preaching is rock solid. I first discovered him when I owned & operated a Christian bookstore from 1980 to 1983. You do not have to jump through the sign-up or donation hoops--it's free. Each sermon is about 45 minutes long. He preached for years on Romans and years on Ephesians. This week's sermon is on the power of sin from Ephesians 2:1-3. Especially timely now.

What's so horrific is that we are still sowing.
I didn’t want to write this column. I definitely didn’t want to use these words. I wanted to write about something else, but after the events of this week, I had no choice.

I am here to report a rape. To protect President Obama from the failure of his administration to anticipate or respond appropriately to the attacks on our embassies in the Middle East, the media has absolutely raped the truth.

Americans were targeted and murdered by radical monsters around the globe. The president did nothing about it. The White House had at least a 48-hour advance warning...
