Bush was a disaster. I despise the "cowboy" for his cowardice and his willingness to sellout the public for political gain. But I do believe that Ryan may have the courage to do what is right if he is ever President. Part of me thinks we just let Obama have another 4 years and ruin it all and build it back up. But I have a kid. Even if a wing and a prayer, going with Romney et al., I think. Great column, brilliant as always.

Some states will fare better than others (God belss Texas!). Those states that fail will learn from the free states, or their residents will leave.

Easy? No. But the right thing to do rarely is.

It's a tough call. We will be going to one of those states soon, btw, specifically due to its low tax structure and residue of traditional attitudes towards liberty and freedom.

We are in terrible straits this presidential election. We have a choice between a president who has posed more of a danger to personal freedom than any in the past 150 years and a Republican team that wants to return to Bush-style big government.
