The New Republican Party

I stopped giving to the Republican party 10 years ago for two reasons: 1. They back candidates who aren't conservative. 2. The reward for giving once is endless phone calls begging for more. Fix those problems, and I'll start giving again.
Ridiculous! Like most liberal arts majors, Suzanne Fields has ZERO sense of economic realities. A BS or BA at an Ivy League school costs upward of $100,000. English majors simply do not earn enough to justify this expense. Demand for people with a quality technical education is enormous: engineers and computer scientists leave college and start work the next day at high salaries, English majors are not so marketable. My daughter received a MA in English in May. Her job search began in February and ended last week!
You poor schmo. You are a victim of your own lack of knowledge. Corporate officers have responsibilities.

Finding Joy Amid World’s Chaos

Flattus, there is no scientific way to reconcile Newton's Second Law with evolution or even the existence of the earth. Entropy always increases. The periodic table didn't just happen: it was designed. Maxwell Planck's laws for quantum mechanics and the propagation of light were not designed by man - they describe a system already in place. If you'd spend time studying serious science, you'd see that such an organized system as our universe exists contrary to the laws of entropy. It was designed. As such, there is a Designer.
I am attending a summer math conference, and learned yet another item of interest regarding the design of our world and the Designer. The average ratio of human height to distance of navel from the floor is the Golden Ratio: Phi = (1+sqrt(5))/2. This ratio, which is very pleasing to the eye, shows up in flowers, shells, and many other parts of our world.

Why Lie? We are at War with Mexico

I've lived abroad, and was quite aware that I represented America. In addition to obeying the law, my family and I tried very hard to be good citizens of our host country. Our passports were stamped "Without recourse to government funds." We understood that the first time we asked for government benefits, we were OUT. Why can't America demand the same of her guests?????
Obvious. The unborn human is innocent.

Obama's Deficient Student Loan Plan

You graduated with an MPA and: 1) Still can't spell deferral. 2) Expected the loan to be interest-free while unemployed. I think you wasted your money.
The solution is to end the ability of immigrants to bring their families in. Force all entrants to show they will be of benefit to this great nation. Parents who send unaccompanied children to a foreign nation are unfit, and their children should not be able to bring them into the country. Place these children all with foster families or build orphanages for them. When their families realize that sending their children unaccompanied means they'll not only be denied a free ticket to the US but will LOSE their children, the flood will slow to a trickle.
Lenders should refuse to make tuition loans to students who select majors which don't give them a reasonable chance of repaying said loans.
