Hmmm, maybe because using those weapons would have turned international support into international opprobrium? It is critical to the Islamist agenda to keep Israel on the defensive politically. If Israel could get away with going on the offensive Hezb'allah and Hamas would quickly be erased. They would be no match for the IDF unleashed, and they know it full well.

On Monday, Syria's dictatorship reminded the world that it possesses weapons of mass destruction (WMD).

Syrian Foreign Ministry spokesman Jihad Makdissi delivered the reminder in Arabic, then repeated it in English, in order to "clarify" Syria's intent for Western media and Western audiences.
