“While some have tried to exploit the tragedy for political gain, we have remained respectfully silent,” NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre said. “Nobody has addressed the most important pressing and immediate question...How do we protect our children today?”
LaPierre discussed in detail an...
Their latest genius idea is to station armed guards at every school. Lets see, probably need several guards per school and we'll need more than that to take care of vacation, sicktime and whatever. So here in Freeport we have 4 schools, so a minimum of 5 per school so that's 20. Now, we have to pay for training these pseudo cops because we don't just want to give anyone a gun and turn them loose. We can barely afford keeping qualified teachers are we now going to feel secure knowing our kids are being protected by rent a cops? okay, we have the armed guards in school, what weapons do we give them? AR-15's? So that will look good, having them walk up and down the hall way with assault rifles. Thats just school, what about field trips?

Do nothing? Lunatics with guns show up and what? The people watching over our children at school just use harsh language? Threaten them with detention?
You're the one that's ridiculous. Why do hate protecting children?
We don't have enough for present tasks, and to realistically cover every school and every school entrance is UNWORKABLE,UNAFFORDABLE.
OTOH,allowing armed school employees costs nothing,is practical and works.
they're right where they need to be,in the classrooms with the children,,the entire time school is open.
